The Sidespersons at Holy Saviour play a vital role in each service. Their responsibilities include greeting and welcoming parishioners as they arrive, distributing bulletins, and assisting with seating when necessary. During the service, they collect the offertory and coordinate the communion procession to the front of the church. At the conclusion of the service, they gather and organize the bulletins and inserts.

Sidespersons play an important role in the event of an emergency evacuation. They are also available for occasional duties during special services or whenever Rev. Canon Greg requests additional support.

The group consists of 14 members (plus two stand-ins), and typically, each person is scheduled for duty about once every two months. During busier times, such as Christmas, assignments may be more frequent due to the increased number of services. About half of the groups’ members actually serve alongside their spouse!

The Sidesperson Guild always welcomes new members: the more the merrier. Please contact the church office if you are interested in joining.
