Lectors are an integral part of our Worship Services at Holy Saviour. They read the lessons at all worship services; including Mattins, Holy Eucharist, Evensong and other special services.

Anglican churches obtain the lessons for all services from “The McCausland’s Order of Divine Service”.  There are three Liturgical years on which our Lectionary is based. It is a cyclical schedule. When the scheduling is done, the readings are obtained from that book.

A schedule is circulated two times a year with each Lector reading approximately six to eight weeks. Currently we have 13 Lectors, and we are always looking for more. If you are interested in becoming a Lector, please contact Alison Prittie.
