ON April 9th, The Venerable Peter Townshend announced his retirement, with June 19th as his final service.
A search committee has begun its work. Meanwhile the interim priest is The Ven. Canon Neil Carver.
As a family we are blessed to have a wonderful place to call our spiritual home. It just takes one step inside the doors to appreciate the beauty of the wood carvings and stained glass windows. You immediately sense that this is a special place and that you are in God’s presence. We are blessed with a very intimate and beautiful place of worship and with a tradition of vibrant choral services of worship. However the true Church of the Holy Saviour is embodied in the many people who come together here to share in worship, fellowship, study, and also to reach out beyond the brick walls to care for the needs of people in our community.
We are the body of Christ in this place and we are blessed with a large and very diverse congregation. We celebrate that we include people of all ages who come from all walks of life in society and from many cultures. It is my hope that you will accept the invitation to come to Holy Saviour and experience the joy of loving God as God loves you and together as a parish family we can share that love with all of God’s people.
I also invite you to call, or email me if you would like to share in a conversation about life and ministry at Holy Saviour or to arrange a time to have a visit together.
Yours in Christ,
Church of the Holy Saviour: Our Mission
Following The words of Christ and His actions, we joyfully bear witness;
In the world to the transforming power of God’s love.
