A Personal Message from The Venerable Peter T. Townshend

The Venerable Peter T. TownshendIt is my pleasure to invite you to experience the love of God which is expressed in and through the parish family of The Church of the Holy Saviour.

As a family we are blessed to have a wonderful place to call our spiritual home. It just takes one step inside the doors to appreciate the beauty of the wood carvings and stained glass windows. You immediately sense that this is a special place and that you are in God’s presence. We are blessed with a very intimate and beautiful place of worship and with a tradition of vibrant choral services of worship. However the true Church of the Holy Saviour is embodied in the many people who come together here to share in worship, fellowship, study, and also to reach out beyond the brick walls to care for the needs of people in our community.

We are the body of Christ in this place and we are blessed with a large and very diverse congregation. We celebrate that we include people of all ages who come from all walks of life in society and from many cultures. It is my hope that you will accept the invitation to come to Holy Saviour and experience the joy of loving God as God loves you and together as a parish family we can share that love with all of God’s people.

I also invite you to call, or email me if you would like to share in a conversation about life and ministry at Holy Saviour or to arrange a time to have a visit together.

Yours in Christ,

ON April 9th, Peter announced to the congregation that he will be retiring, with June 19th as his final service. His vibrant ministry at Holy Saviour began twelve years ago, and he and Jane will be sorely missed. We wish them God’s richest blessings as they begin the next phase of their lives.
You can access his sermons from April 9th and June 19 by clicking SERMONS above.)

Interim priests are The Rev. Sharla Malliff, June 26 to Aug 14, and The Ven. Canon Neil Carver, Aug 21 to whenever a new incumbent is appointed.
