Anders Bergstrom is a father of two boys, husband, instructor, writer, and critic who lives in Waterloo, ON. He recently defended his PhD in English and Film Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University. He has a long and abiding interest in cinema and religion; most of his writing and teaching addresses cinema and media and/or the role of religion and philosophy in society. He and his family have been attending Church of the Holy Saviour since 2011. Before moving to Waterloo to pursue his doctorate, Anders and his wife, Rochelle Knox, lived in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where they taught secondary school. Both Anders and Rochelle call Saskatoon, Saskatchewan their hometown.
